Service Description
KK9 Dog Training has created a class to support rescue groups, fosters, volunteers, and anyone interested in the long-term welfare of pet dogs. Our goal in offering this class is to support dedicated humans as they advocate for dogs and work to increase adoption rates and decrease the return rate of adopted pet dogs. A deeper understanding of canine behavior and body language will equip participants to successfully facilitate interactions between rescue dogs and potential adopters. KK9 Companion Connections Class will consist of one hour of instruction and one hour of interactive discussion including Q&A. Instruction content includes: • dog body language •appropriate dog/dog and human/dog meetings and interactions • keys to help potential adopters meet and greet dogs • advocating for the dogs in your care Discussion and Q&A portion includes: • live demonstrations of best practice techniques •role play of meet and greet situations •discussion of how to best support dogs in shelter, rescue and foster care who will be meeting potential adopters
