Dogs who are home alone and need some activity and attention in the middle of a long day will benefit from Dog Walks Plus!
Activities may include loose-leash walking, training games, food puzzles, and of course lots of petting and belly rubs.

About the program:
Does your dog struggle on a leash? Bark out the window? Fight at the fence? We can help! You as your dogs most trusted person, will learn the skills to support them as they learn to overcome their anxieties and fears! Positive reinforcement (treats, treats and treats) and skill building will let you up for success with your dog.

About the program:
Do you come home to find damage or destruction by your dog? Do you find that your otherwise house-trained dog has accidents when you are away? Do you receive complaints from neighbors because your dog barks or howls when you are away? Do you feel anxious when you leave your dog home alone?

What does training look like?
Studies have shown that systematic desensitization is the most effective strategy for the treatment of separation anxiety. It involves breaking absences down into small steps, adjusting the leaving routine, and then building on success.
Since the steps involve leaving the house, a video chat platform allows observation of the dog in real time. The sessions are remote, so we can work with you regardless of your physical location. An internet connection and a device with a video camera are the only technical requirements!
